Nagelsmann close to Bayern returnOther clubs also vying for coachCould confirm his future by end of the monthWHAT HAPPENED?
There have been reports that Bayern Munich are poised to re-appoint Nagelsmann as their new manager following Thomas Tuchel's departure at the end of the current season. Despite the strong interest from Bayern, Nagelsmann is also listening to offers from other clubs who are keen to bring him on board, according to his agent Volker Struth.

Speaking on the 'Spielmacher- der EM-Podcast von 360Media mit Sebastian Hellmann,' Struth addressed the speculation surrounding Nagelsmann's future and said: "Everyone is currently asking me the same question: Is Nagelsmann going back to Bayern or what is Nagelsmann doing? (…) This will be decided in the next few days. It will be decided shortly. In the next five, six, seven days. (…)
"It would be complete nonsense to say that we are not talking to interested parties. Without me wanting to say who the interested parties are. I can only say, it's not just Bayern Munich. That's normal. That's my job, and it would be a bit of a joke towards the media to say we're not having conversations. Of course, we are having conversations now. It has also been announced by Julian himself that he will probably make a decision about his future in April.“
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The possibility of Nagelsmann's return gained traction after Xabi Alonso, who was initially considered for the position, opted to remain at Bayer Leverkusen. This development prompted Bayern to intensify their efforts to secure Nagelsmann's services. Sporting directors Christoph Freund and Max Eberl are believed to be leading the negotiations with Nagelsmann's agency, Sports360, discussing contract terms that may span either three or four years.
HOW DID BAYERN RESPOND
Bayern CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, also seemingly admitted that they are indeed in touch with Nagelsmann along with a few other candidates.
Speaking to after Bayern's Champions League victory over Arsenal he said: "We'll see. We've spoken with a few candidates! Today that is not the topic. We are happy to reach the UCL semifinals beating Arsenal. And today we are not talking about coaching issues. Today, we are happy with Thomas Tuchel, with the team, and all those who have done a wonderful job today."
