Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left split on the possibility of signing Samuel Umtiti from Barcelona.
The Daily Telegraph reports that the club have been offered the chance to sign the France international from the Catalan giants.
Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is said to be keen to sign a defender in this transfer window and Umtiti could offer a solution.
The 26-year-old has made eight appearances in all competitions for the club this season but has struggled with injuries, already missing seven games through a combination of foot and knee issues.
And a number of supporters would rather place their trust in Japhet Tanganga, the young defender who made his Premier League debut against Liverpool last weekend.
The big fat Tottenham quiz of 2019 – how much do you remember about the last year at Spurs?
However, some other supporters believe that Umtiti could be an important player for the club if he were to move to north London.
The defender, of course, is a World Cup winner and has also won La Liga twice, long with two Spanish Cups.
It remains to be seen if Mourinho will be able to get reinforcements into the club this season, particularly in central defence.
Meanwhile, Spurs fans have made their feelings clear on a potential swap deal.
